Public Areas

Botha House balances function, layout and aesthetics to ensure all your needs are met.

Our functional aspects have been carefully integrated to enhance and not dominate the space.

Enjoy some quiet and solitude in our library, reading our many informative and interesting historical books or enjoy a novel with a cup of tea or coffee to hand.

Don’t want to watch television in your room?  Our beautiful lounge offers you lovely and comfortable surroundings to view your favourite programme with friends

Linger at our swimming pool with magnificent views out to sea where you may be lucky enough to see dolphins frolicking in the waves or whales passing on their annual migration

Entrance

The main entrance to Botha House takes you through the beautiful courtyard gardens from the carpark. Ample free and secure parking is available for guests and visitors.

Terrace

The terrace where you can enjoy breakfast looking out over the swimming pool and forest to the sea or simply relax during the day with tea or coffee enjoying the sounds of birds in the surrounding trees.  You may even be lucky enough to spot a Mongoose family scurrying across the lawn to the forest.

Reception

Your first indoor view of this magnificent historical home designed by J Wallace Paton and built by Sir Frank Reynolds in 1920.  You will see our lovely grandfather clock that still keeps time…

Library

The library where you can sit quietly and read one of our very interesting historical books or enjoy a novel with a pot of tea enjoying the warmth of the midday sun and sea or garden views.

Lounge

A comfortable and almost regal lounge where you can entertain your guests in much the same way as Annie must have done all those years ago.  With access to our beautiful terrace and sea views from the window
